One of my Poems- Rebekah

 A Coon Hunt
A hunter whoops a call after his hounds,
As they chase through the night.
They chase a devious creature making his rounds,
Under a full moons light.

They run as the coyotes howl their lonely tune,
And the owls hoot their who's.
They run with skill after a ring-tailed coon.

A coon who runs mischievously through the night,
With fleetness of foot and a scheming mind,
He tries to out-smart the hunters hounds.

He finds a refuge in a tall pine,
But to no avail does he climb.
For the hunters hounds know how to track,
And with ease they find the coons hide-out.

Out come an ax from behind the hunters back,
And all through the forest rings the tune,
Of the death of the coon.
